For many of those worst affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the last 18 months have been characterised by profound change and uncertainty. Welfare at a (Social) Distance wanted to share people's first hand experience of claiming benefits during the pandemic and consider what this tells us about working-age social security today. The experiences and stories in this comic are from real people. Thanks to everyone who generously gave their time and agreed to take part in the research.
